We offer a range of services related to Industrial Automation, these include but are not limited to:-
I have just completed contracting for a local manufacturer, this work included, maintenance on specialty pallet docking machines, programming on several systems to give detailed reports on machinery breakdowns and uptimes, installation of power meters, upgrades to box machines and general programming for machine efficiency and improvements. I also worked on the sites Citect Scada system, completing screen modifications and general version changes and upgrades.
I am currently focused on building my client base by completing jobs including fault finding and rectification, disconnect/reconnects, installation of machinery, electrical drawings and building and commissioning new control boards.
In 2002 I completed my electrical apprenticeship and was appointed as a maintenance electrician at the Electrolux Home Products plant in Orange. I then completed an Advanced Diploma of Industrial Automation through the Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) in 2011 moving into the role of Control Systems Supervisor. I continued in this role and assisted with the decommissioning of the Orange plant in 2016.
During my time at Electrolux I supervised a team of four engineers managing projects to completion. These projects included risk assessments, installation of upgrades, preventative maintenance schemes, including predictive and corrective activities and reviewing energy efficiency. My day to day activities included breakdowns in which I was required to fault find and rectify in a timely manner.
I was then employed with D’Aquino Group as an Electrical Engineer. In this role I consulted with machinery operators to review and upgrade several machines on the production line to ensure best practice. I was responsible for the management and mentoring of an apprentice and assisted with the managing and completion of projects including the planning and execution of the establishment of a Bureau of Meteorology accredited weather station. This included managing and assisting sub-contractors.
I have developed a wealth of knowledge and skill in Industrial Automation, previously working with both KUKA and ABB robots and several different makes and models of PLC’s and HMI’s.
'Damien has worked as my senior electrician over the past two years, where I found that his ability to diagnose and problem solve intricate electrical systems and automated processes, to be of the highest level and efficiency. His ability to turn a manually operated production process into a fully automated system, is second to none.
He recently assisted me in the establishment and commissioning of a certified helicopter airfield, which included the installation of aviation accredited taxiway lighting and automated weather station.
I would highly recommend Damien for any electrical projects being private or commercial, as his understanding of cost-effective outcomes and high level of safety awareness for the consumer and general public are outstanding.
With Damien’s personal nature and ability to research, understand and listen to the customer’s needs, makes him a pleasure to work with.'
